Hi I'm Jesse Okoronkwo. After reading Think Big and Gifted Hands, books written by Dr Ben Carson a historical american neurosurgeon, it became my dream to become a neurosurgeon and for most of my high school life that is all I wanted. While my passion for medicine was strong, my highest exam scores throughout my time in high school was always computer science because I was always intrigued by how application on phones and laptops are made. My Computer Science teacher told me to consider software engineering seeing as I always asked questions relating to that aspect of IT and I did. So here I am.
I went on to get an Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering. After tons of group and individual projects, my love for coding increased. Yes, there were days I felt like engineering was not for me or software development was complex, but the joy of looking at a completed project and knowing how much hard work went into its creation, surpasses all forms of doubt. I currently also have a Bachelors in Information Technology and Business Information Systems and I specifically chose this route because I wanted to broaden my knwoledge, not just in software engineering but across various IT sectors like data analysis, business intelligence and UI/UX. I am interested in working with anyone who needs my experience and skills, be it a startup that needs to build a dream or a Big Business Company that needs to sustain its business.

MITA Games is a Blockchain game studio and creator of Legends Of Mitra, a web3 play-to-earn mobile game, served on BSC & Klaytn blockchain networks. In the role of a software engineer at MITA Games, I had the privilege of being actively engaged in the backend development of the gaming website associated with "Legends of Mitra" built with a predominantly Node.js codebase. The web3 portal is used by over 90k users.
Spearheaded development of robust API's by using Node.js and MongoDB, precisely tailored to exceed client requirements for increasing efficiency and user satisfaction. Streamlined and optimised backend applications through extensive codebase refactoring and rigorous testing for improved performance, reduced bugs, and enhanced system reliability.
